Sam grew up and played High School and junior golf in Gilroy California. He played two years of college golf while working part time at Gilroy Golf Course and it was during those days as a collegiate golfer that his desire to make golf his career developed.
After graduating from San Jose Sate University, Sam began working toward his membership in the Professional Golfers Association of America while beginning to work and teach full time at Gilroy Golf Course. Sam moved to the east bay in May of 1993 beginning a four-year stay at Las Positas Golf Course. Sam developed as an instructor during those years and attained PGA membership in September of 1995. Following his years at Las Positas, Sam moved to Ruby Hill Golf Club where he spent 6 ½ years, becoming the Head Professional in 2000.
Following a year at Orinda Country Club, Sam came to Dublin Ranch Golf Course in May of 2005. Along with being the head professional, Sam is the lead instructor for our junior camps as well as giving private golf lessons to men, women & juniors of all ages and ability levels.
